What Happens During the Two-Hour Dental Consultation?
The visit runs about two hours. Roughly the first ninety minutes are with Tracy, the practice's treatment and financial coordinator, and the final thirty are with Dr. Mitrogogos — and he meets every new patient personally.
- The conversation first. Before any instrument comes out, we ask what brought you in — your goals, your concerns, what you want fixed, and what you're afraid of.
"We want to figure out what their goals are... and then we try to formulate a custom plan to help them address that." — Dr. Mitrogogos - Complete records. Full-mouth X-rays, gum measurements, and photographs of your teeth — plus 3D imaging when your case needs it.
- Seeing your own mouth. Tracy walks you through your images as they're taken. For most patients, this is the first time anyone has shown them the full picture.
- Dr. Mitrogogos reviews everything with you. He goes over your X-rays, explains what he sees, lays out your options — including what can be combined into a single sedation visit — and answers your questions directly.
- The numbers, in writing. You sit down with Tracy, go through your printed treatment plan and fees line by line, and review payment options. Then you go home and decide. Treatment can begin same-day if you're ready — impressions, scans, sometimes even a crown — but that's your call, not ours.

Is the consultation really free — will I get a bill afterward?
The new patient consultation exam, X-rays, photographs, and treatment plan are free for new patients. You'll know the cost of any recommended treatment before you commit to anything, in writing.
How long is the appointment?
Two hours. About ninety minutes with Tracy, the practice's treatment coordinator, and about thirty minutes with Dr. Mitrogogos, who personally meets every new patient.
How do I schedule?
Give us a call or fill out the form above to request a consultation. New patient consultations are held Monday through Thursday and are typically scheduled within about two weeks. If you submit an online request, Tracy calls you back to discuss your situation and schedule.
What should I bring?
A photo ID, your insurance card if you have one, and a list of any medications you take. Old dental records aren't required, though they sometimes help.
Do I leave with actual prices?
In nearly every case, yes — a printed, itemized treatment plan with fees, reviewed with you line by line before you leave. Highly complex cases occasionally need additional planning first.
Can treatment start the same day?
Sometimes, if you want it to — impressions, digital records, occasionally even a crown. There's never an obligation to start anything.
Is the free IV sedation offer real?
Yes. New patients who proceed with treatment receive their first IV sedation ($585 value) or nitrous session ($97 value) at no charge, with no conditions. Candidacy for IV sedation is confirmed at your consultation based on your health history.
Do you take my insurance? What about Medicaid?
We work with most private dental insurance and will tell you exactly what your plan covers as part of your treatment plan. We do not participate in Medicaid; self-pay patients are welcome, and we offer an in-office dental discount plan.
